AMSI Summer School 2020 will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 6 -31 January.

Transport

There are a number of options you can use to get to and from La Trobe University Bundoora campus including bus, train, tram or car.

The campus has its own bus depot and is a short walk from the tram stop on Plenty Road (Route 86). The campus sits between the Hurstbridge and Mernda train lines. More details on how to get to La Trobe University are here below:

Car: Enter via the North Entrance (ref C3) just off Kingsbury Drive. FREE Parking is available after 5.30pm in the WHITE visitor parking bays in Car Park 1 (ref C5/C6)

Bus: Routes 250, 350 548, 558, 551, 561 and 556 all stop at La Trobe’s dedicated bus terminal on campus

Tram: Take Route 86 and get off at stop #60 (La Trobe University & Plenty Rd). The Campus is just a short walk from the tram stop

Train: Catch Mernda line – get off at Reservoir Station and catch bus 551 directly to campus

Catch Hurstbridge line – get off at Heidelberg Station and catch bus 551 directly to campus

Students traveling from regional Victoria or interstate may be eligible to apply for an AMSI Travel Grant

Accommodation

Glenn College

Student accommodation will be located at Glenn College which is a local student accommodation provider on the La Trobe Bundoora campus. Students staying at Glenn College will be accommodated in student lodging rooms from Sunday 5 January to Friday 31 January.

Those receiving accommodation support through AMSI Travel Grants will have their accommodation booked for them at the college.

Please note: Accommodation grants for international students attending from universities outside Australia are not offered, however, students are encouraged to stay at Glenn College for the duration of the Summer School program.
